Shamis Pitts (she/her) is the Founder and Owner of Pitts Leadership Consulting LLC (“PLC”), a professional services organization that specializes in leadership development, employee engagement and building and sustaining inclusive culture. PLC’s vision is for wellbeing to thrive in every individual and in every organization. Its mission is to strengthen the employee/employer social contract to support a thriving and engaged workforce. That mission is delivered through executive and leadership coaching, consulting, advising, training and facilitation, and keynotes. Before launching PLC, Shamis operated at the intersection of strategy, people management and leadership, and business process for 20+ years within the management consulting, financial services, education, and start-up tech industries. She is an ICF-Certified Professional Coach (PCC) and a Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional. Shamis received her MBA from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, concentrating in leadership and strategy, and her BA in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. Shamis is also a Thrive Global and National Career Development Association-Career Convergence contributor. Shamis currently serves on the President’s Council for The Acceleration Project, an innovative, award-winning consulting firm focused on underserved small businesses, particularly women and minority-owned enterprises. She is passionate about mentoring, playing golf with her husband, Tom, and watching Columbo reruns.
