Scott Mason, known as The Myth Slayer, is a Columbia Law School graduate and former senior executive who has spent more than 20 years leading at the highest levels of government and the nonprofit sector. He was second-in-command of New York City’s central administrative court system, Deputy General Counsel for the oversight agency of homeless services, and later directed a division responsible for 300+ nonprofit programs for older adults. He also served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Head of Operations for the nation’s largest provider of domestic violence shelters.
Today, Scott channels that executive expertise into his work as a keynote speaker, executive coach, and podcast host. Through his mythic, cinematic speaking style, he blends Greek mythology with modern leadership science to help ambitious professionals and organizations destroy toxic career myths, unleash their inner Olympian, and achieve professional rebirth with bold impact.
Scott is a two-time TEDx speaker who has spoken before SHRM Morris County, major national, global, and global corporations, multiple bar associations, and nonprofit leadership summits nationwide. His audiences consistently rate him as dynamic, thought-provoking, and unforgettable.
He is currently authoring a forthcoming four-book illustrated series, “The Myth Slayer: A Leadership Epic,” which reimagines Greek myths as actionable frameworks for modern leadership.
