Human capital consultant and SHRM member, Allison Heaps bridges the gap between research and practical application for business owners and human resources practitioners. She has written for The Huffington Post, New York’s Social Media Week and completed scholarly research at New York University. Most recently Ms. Heaps presented her research in the area of employee development and coaching in organizations at Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital’s Coaching in Leadership and Healthcare Annual Conference and New York University’s La Guardia Innovation Lab. She is a member of New York University’s Van Bavel social psychology research lab, Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Association for Talent Development (ATD), Society of Human Resource Development National Chapter (SHRM) American Management Association (AMA) Skilled in executing business process, stakeholder coaching, and designing evidence-based interventions she has worked at Samsung, Marsh and scaled many start ups. Before transitioning into HR, Allison began her career in Los Angeles, licensing intellectual property at Walt Disney, Twentieth Century Century Fox, Warner Brothers and MTV. She earned a M.S. in Human Resources Management and Development and Executive Coaching from New York University and a B.A. in Communications from Goucher College.
