Joel Peterson, SHRM-SCP is Chief Operating Officer and H.R. Business Partner for a professional design firm in NYC. For the last thirteen years, Joel has worked in the architectural industry where he helps build the people who build the buildings. Outside the office, Joel has been a long-time volunteer for SHRM at the national, state and local level. A dynamic public speaker, Joel has presented at the SHRM National Conference, annual conferences for NY-State SHRM, GSC-SHRM, regional SHRM chapters and for various other events and industries. He is also a passionate volunteer leader for the NY State Special Olympics.
